Seasoning the Solstice ~ 21 Dec 2023

Here we are in the last ten days of the Gregorian Year 2023! The holiday rush makes getting about complicated and clogs Internet browsers with last minute shopping carts for both the holiday and tax-related expenses. Today marks the summer solstice in the southern hemisphere; the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere. As such, ancient and traditional ceremonies abound are not to be missed.

No matter where one stands on Earth, this solstice marks the Sun entering Capricorn. This also means most recently the Sun passed by the very core of our galaxy. Annually, this passage clearly notes the need to remain conscious of all new ideas stirring about. Truly, they are everywhere! Hopefully, sufficient attention was applied and recapturing the ideas when additional transit stimulation occurs is part of the plan... stimulation such as that promised by a Mercury transit.

Tomorrow, Mercury and the Sun conjoin in Capricorn. Soon thereafter Mercury returns to Sagittarius for the second of three mnemonic update sessions with the Galactic Center - the third Mercurial information session occurs on 10 January 2024. Given the three-told transit, think of the recent Mercury traipse by the Galactic Center as the automatic download of new files. As Christmas Eve Day yields to Christmas, despite the onslaught of Christmas songs and wrapping paper, Mercury somehow remembers to install the downloaded information files. Stick a pin in these. Give yourself a week and a half into the new year to engage all recent insights with full fecundity.

On the 23rd, Mercury transits the asteroid Psyche in Sagittarius. Certainly visions of sugar plums can be conjured during sleep or other states in which the conscious mind can be quieted. Use Saturday’s transit to peel away any riffraff thoughts that interfere with setting clear sights for the new year. The physical matter of Psyche, according to astronomical evaluation, is likely unlimited in value. Who knows what thoughts the Galactic Center recently seeded that promise not only economic gain, but earthly evolution, too.

Mars promises engagement with 2024 before the year officially begins. During New Year’s Eve day, time zone dependent, Mars waves at the Galactic Center as he briskly transits by. As with a week ago, the “eves” this year stand profoundly useful in accessing the showers of insight that the Galactic Center grandly gifts.

Tomorrow, the alignment of Mercury and the Sun declare Mercury retrograde to be halfway complete. Literally and virtually, the Earth, Mercury and the Sun stand in alignment. Quite simply, attention to all real world details tends to inspire even more options and solutions. Review every single matter that may be temporarily deferred. Savor it. Ponder solutions. Consider creative options, even those that may appear outside of your budget as the recent Venus in Scorpio opposite Uranus in Taurus revealed. Decide what must be done. Take solace in whatever economic axioms you use to justify spending patterns without rationalization. You know, “It takes money to make money,” “You get what you pay for.” That type of thinking. Know in your higher mind the course you have set works, and utilize the mental fertilization of the Galactic Center as fully as you can.

Yes, you may sign contracts at this time. Or do things around which astrological prohibitions typically echo for this planet’s retrogradation. Set your course, make clear well-ground decisions, captain your vessel in life, and get ready to get going. Keep in mind that this coming April, Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus have plans for those en route specific soul-fulfilling destinations.

I wish you all the best of the holiday season, peace within the changing of the calendar, powerful aspirations, motivating vigor and good health. Cheers!

One final tidbit: Another great use of Mercury-Sun-Earth is to schedule an astrological session or series of sessions. In Capricorn, the value of aligning with transits and easing the path forward is well worth the energy and expense. There is reason to believe that the first several months of 2024 will be excessively busy. Best to get on the books straightaway!
